Dr. Kabir Hossain, Dr. Nurmafizur Rahaman and Dr. Md. Nazir Hossain are three brothers hailing from an impoverished locality in Birbhum, West Bengal. Their father, Abul Kalam Azad, was a grocer, and did not have sufficient economic means to sustain their education in premium educational institutions in Kolkata. However, having attained high ranks in the State Medical entrances, they stood in line to study in institutions of high merit, like NRS and SSKM Hospital. That is when the eldest Dr. Kabir Hossain got in touch with us, at Paramparik. Seeing their credentials, we subsequently provided them with economic assistance, and guidance in the form of mentoring and constant support to help them realize their dreams. On graduation, all three of them were subsequently placed in ESI Hospitals, and their career towards being a medical professional took off.
Coming from very humble backgrounds, these brothers have fought tooth and nail to be where they are now, and Paramparik – The Tradition is proud and happy to have such students to be associated with. They have not forgotten their roots, and they seek to set up a clinic, together, in the village where they grew up in.
Paramparik salutes individuals such as Nazir, Nurmafizur and Kabir, who have the humility and diligence to work towards a better future for the environment they grew in.
